Christmas at Othona is always rather special, with less of the things you want less of (television, bingeing, bickering, maybe loneliness?) and more of a spirit of peace and goodwill within a temporary ‘family’ that isn’t your own but where you have a real contribution to make.
Feasting, presents, prayers – all are in the mix, but not to excess. On Christmas Eve we visit a local organic farm for carol singing among the straw bales.
On Boxing Day you can watch hardy souls take a chilly dip in a local harbour for charity (or even join them).
Equally suited to families, couples or individuals.
And to make it all easier, the eldest child - in a family with two or more children aged 3 to 18 - comes FREE of charge! What’s not to like?
