Singer Juliet Russell and pianist Philip Clouts present an evening of hypnotic melodies drawing inspiration from East European folk music, jazz, the harmonies of Africa and the ambience of the beautiful Othona chapel, where they perform amongst exhibited works on show as part of Dorset Art Weeks.
Philip Clouts’ career has included playing at Ronnie Scotts, Glastonbury and Womad Festivals, and his music has recently been played on BBC Radio’s Jamie Cullum Show.
Juliet Russell’s music was described by The Independent Newspaper as “a richly complex singing in tongues which fused blissed out township acapella with Gregorian chant..stunning!" (N.B. Juliet returns to lead a Gospel singing weekend in October)
