A very special weekend with spiritual practices that are utterly contemporary – and connections that go back to the particular origins of Othona’s Community House!

We welcome Merry Shaver, all the way from Texas where she is assistant minister in the Austin Center for Spiritual Living. Leading the weekend with her is Erica Brown from Bournemouth, UK. They both stand within the inclusive spiritual tradition of New Thought that began in 19th century America. New Thought also influenced Adela Curtis who founded the first community on our site in West Dorset.

Merry has a deep love of the poems of Mary Oliver who wrote “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”  This weekend will offer you tools for addressing that very question, on your journey through the maze that is modern life. Discover the body, mind and spirit connection through deep listening, visioning, and affirmation in a fun, supportive atmosphere.

EXTRA: the option of a stopover to Monday morning with an informal music and poetry concert on Sunday evening – only £30 extra charge. Payable by cash or card at the time.
