Open Space... with a hint of celebration

May and June are simply the most gorgeous months in Dorset. Will you come and share their meeting point with us?

Open Space is just that - your opportunity to be in community with others but shape your own activities. All within a lightly structured programme of meals and chapel gatherings.

On the Saturday we are planning a musical celebration of some sort - ceilidh, concert, jam session? Details to be confirmed. This will be marking a 'big' birthday for Othona's warden, Tony Jaques, when we hope more of his local friends will be able to come along too.

UPDATE: Saturday afternoon will feature music from Cameron Shaw (Tony's bro-in-law), fellow members of The Bridport Big Band, and guests. Concert time will be from 4.00 to 6.00 with a buffet supper to follow.

If you are staying for the Open Space or have received a personal invitation, there will be a seat for you, including at the supper. If not, but you would like to come along, please contact bookings@othonawestdorset.org.uk to see if we have space left. 

Tony says: "I've spent most of my life avoiding any fuss at all about my birthday. Even swearing colleagues to secrecy at times! This year, with some trepidation, I'm trying a less secretive approach. You are welcome to book for this Open Space if you don't know me at all, but I'm hoping to see some good friends too.

"When I asked myself what I'd enjoy most, the answer came back: "live music (at Othona, not a gig elsewhere)". So I'm excited to think that will somehow happen."
