Teenagers visit Othona with their parents. We love to see them. But how far do we oldies appreciate all their gifts? It’s time we had a week where the teens are coming up with the ideas and taking a lead in the community.

If your family books for this week we’ll ask for contact details so that teens can get in touch long before they come to Dorset and start making plans together. (Nothing illegal or tooooo humiliating for the adults, please! And Othona staff will need to keep an eye on issues of safety or health.)

You want to plan different activities? Or adjust Othona’s usual timetable?

Introduce new menu ideas? Or set up opportunities to talk about things that matter most to your generation?

Members of the core community, parents and other adults will be a resource and a support this week. Ask us practical questions or local advice maybe. Use any skills you think we may have! But as far as possible we’ll all be exploring along the path that the young people map out.

N.B. We can’t accept bookings from unaccompanied teens but sometimes a friend’s parent will act as guardian for the week. For families that include younger children, we can keep the lower limit of teenage a bit flexible.

If you bring two or more children aged 3-18, the eldest comes free of charge!
