Dive into a weekend of board games, making new friends and discovering new games along the way. Here at Othona we’ll provide the games and the meals, so you can focus on connecting with your fellow gamers and enjoying the games.
There’ll be games to suit all tastes, from big group party games (Werewolves anyone?) or light card games, medium weight classics like Settlers of Catan, through to heavier strategy games. Is a particular game proving popular? Perhaps a tournament is in order!
In between the board gaming sessions there will be time to unwind and relax however suits you, be it with walks to the beach, an evening around the fire pit, a movie night or just getting cosy with a book. There will be plenty of scope for you to shape what happens, from what games are played, to group activities or outings.
Tom, your host for the event will be offering up his extensive games collection (see READ MORE page for more details) and will be on hand to teach rules and coordinate activities. An ardent tabletop gamer, he is always keen to spread the love of his favourite games. You are also encouraged to bring your own favourite games to share with the group.
Joining an intentional community you’ll be welcomed to join daily meditations and sharings in the beautiful house chapel. You’ll also get involved in some light chores each day that keep the community ticking over, like laying the tables for a meal or joining in on some washing up.
Othona has 14 bedrooms, ranging from single rooms to larger rooms that can sleep 4 adults. If you are coming as part of a group or are happy to share with other visitors please do let us know, as this will enable more people to attend the event, as well as giving you the £80 room sharing discount.
