A Place to be Real Together

Sound Sculpture

A retreat with the amazing PANArt Hang Ensemble

Friday 28 April - Monday 1st May 2023

Space is available on this event! :-D

PANArt ensemble of four people playing instruments of the Hang family

"We play an instrument together, together we become an instrument."

The Hang – a totally new musical instrument – was born at the beginning of the millennium in Bern, Switzerland. The sound of this new metal sound sculpture went around the world.

The growing family of new musical instruments influenced by different cultures can now be experienced in a collective. This unique musical experience can bring us to a state of profound rapport with each other and groundedness in the universe. You will emerge invigorated.

Christopher Baron is a hcpc registered music therapist and one of just two people in the world who play a whole ensemble of the related Hang instruments. He brings this unique experience to Othona for a three-day retreat.

Here is Chris introducing the retreat and giving yo a taste of the Hang sound: https://youtu.be/-XWRe3Jd7es.

You need no history of playing an instrument to take part and benefit, though musicians may find particular depth in this retreat..
