Space is available on this event! :-D
Mindfulness is a form of meditation that enables you to live in the present moment. Nature offers us metaphors that we can use in our daily life. In the beautiful natural surroundings at Othona there is endless opportunity to pause and root ourselves in nature to bring out our natural wild creativity.
None of the activities require previous experience or skills, but draw upon your inherent abilities to sense and enjoy the world about you.
Materials and equipment will be provided, but please feel free to bring anything of your own which helps to support your own creativity (for example: camera, diary, sketch- or notebook). Please bring outdoor clothing so that whatever the weather, you can make the most of Othona’s beautiful location and wonderful grounds. Most important - please bring an open mind and a willingness to play, with ideas and materials
The retreat is suitable for those new to mindfulness meditation, as well as those wishing to refresh their existing practice. It is also aimed at supporting those who feel they have no creative or artistic abilities, as well as more established artists wishing to explore new avenues for their work or cope with “artists’ block”
