“Call your spirit back...
Speak to it as you would to a beloved child.
Welcome your spirit back from its wandering. It may return in pieces, in tatters. Gather them together. They will be happy to be found after being lost.”

From "For Calling the Spirit Back from Wandering the Earth in its Human Feet" - Joy Harjo.

Othona is delighted to welcome Tess Ward back as facilitator. She says:

"Quiet Weeks are exquisitely designed to give us space to welcome all that arises, whatever the season of our hearts. Weaving through our self-directed flow of creativity, rest and quiet, expect invitations to be outside, offerings of poetry and meditation in chapel and hopefully a fire towards the end. I will be available for 1-1 sessions for those who would like.

"Conversations with the sea, the land, the creatures and with each other will assist us on our journey through the week.

"May the Quiet Week be a time to slow down to the rhythm of the earth and to gather ourselves in the golden light, as we approach the Autumn Equinox and the glorious colours that lie beyond.

"I was a hospice chaplain and celebrant before going freelance.  I moved to wild and beautiful Northumberland with my husband and now see people for spiritual accompaniment and lead occasional retreats.  I have written 2 books of blessings including The Celtic Wheel of the Year.

"I am finishing a third book Rewilding the Heart.  It is a book about how our inner lives and the wider-than-human world entwine.  It is a meditation on how we share the natural seasons of greening and growing, loss and dying and transformation throughout our lives."
