Green 'n Easy Week

This is our special new event for August 2024. Come and join us to savour the late summer. To commune with the natural world, with each other and with the Sacred Other. And we have a special guest (see below).

On top of all the usual Othona options (like games, the beach, art and music making) this week will include:

A group outing on Sunday to Sturminster Newton's unique Oak Fair

A day out option at Kingcombe National Nature Reserve

Visiting speaker(s) from our brilliant local organic farm

Meet the beekeeper(s) - who manage hives here in Othona's grounds

Practical outdoor activities and a firepit in our woodland glade

Our special guest all the week is Judy Shiraku, from Western Kenya where she has played a key role in various development projects. We'll hear about these, including land given by her and her husband and then turned into a thriving farm that provides jobs, clean drinking water and a feeding programme for the local school.

This week is open to all ages, but no specific children's activities are planned or promised. Of course they can happen spontaneously from among the group if there are families present.
