I'm almost embarrassed to admit just how long we've been been dreaming about replacing our old Art and Craft Building. Now at last the project is really taking off. I pinch myself and, yes, I am awake!
The Four Seasons Studio will be larger, more truly multi-purpose, with toilets and kitchen and full disability access. And we've just applied for planning approval.
You can see what it should look like on the Four Seasons Studio Project page here on our website. Of course these images could change if the planners insist, but here's what we're trying for.
If all goes well we'll demolish the old building in the autumn and start building immediately.
By the way, it's just under a year now to the opening of Dorset Art Weeks 2018. Othona will be an exhibiting space as in other years. And if all goes smoothly we'll open the new Four Seasons Studio at the same time!
Obviously we're excited about this project. Watch out for regular updates here as the year goes on.
If you feel moved to donate towards it (we can only do it because of many people's generosity), please get in touch by any of the usual ways. OR visit our 'Make a Donation' page.
UPDATE - Mar 2018: As is so often the way with building projects...it's taking a little longer than intended! Building of the Four Seasons Studio will be underway by Autumn 2018.
