Great news about our continuing bid to reduce Othona's carbon footprint. We have replaced the gas boiler heating the chapel and library by two types of air-source heat pump.
Thank you to our Roll Ups gang for our new energy saving insulated thermal cooking bag (also called a wonderbag, or pot wrap). Enables us to cook porridge etc using a lot less energy.

Dorset Magazine in July carried a feature article (by yours truly) about the history of our site, the remarkable woman who bought it 100 years ago and the community she established here before Othona.
On January 4th we undertook some major scrub clearance on the SNCI. Big thanks go out to Nick Gray from the Dorset Wildlife Trust and his team of 21 who turned up to spend the day cutting and burning bramble, hawthorn, blackthorn, dogwood and gorse.
